About Us

Kendall is a village in Monroe County. The community was named after L.G. Kendall (or Kendalls), a railroad contractor.  The Village of Kendall is the home of the Elroy-Sparta State Bike Trail Headquarters...the nation's first rails-to-trails conversion.  The Headquarters is the old train depot and has a train museum inside as well.

Campground

The Village of Kendall Wilderness Campground is only a block away from the bike trail, located on a bluff, high above Glenwood Park, offering a beautiful view of the Baraboo River. There are 4 primitive sites with a fire pit and picnic table for each.  It features a bathhouse with showers & restrooms, volleyball courts, a baseball diamond and a playground.  Enjoy fishing in the nearby Baraboo River.

Kendall Fest - Labor Day Weekend

Kendall Fest kicks of on Friday night with The Gathering at the Community Hall as a Kendall Area Reunion.  At the Park there will be music, food and refreshments.  Saturday starts out with a pancake breakfast at the Park on Saturday morning with activities throughout the day.  Country music and a polka dance in the evening.  Sunday's events include the Kendall Mustang Mudder Mud Run, a gigantic parade, grilled chicken and music and refreshments at the Park.  Monday is the antique tractor pull and activities in the Park.

KAACO

In August, KAACO (Kendall Area Arts & Crafts Organization) presents a comedy theatre in the round outside in the remaining foundation of the old train turntable, including a meal that fits in with the play.

October brings the Colors of Kendall where artisans from all over the area come to show their creations with presentations of Kendall's history and a driving tour to producers and artisans.

In November, they host their Annual Craft Show in the Kendall Community Hall.
