Kendall is a village in Monroe County. The community was named after L.G. Kendall (or Kendalls), a railroad contractor. The Village of Kendall is the home of the Elroy-Sparta State Bike Trail Headquarters...the nation's first rails-to-trails conversion. The Headquarters is the old train depot and has a train museum inside as well.
The Village of Kendall Wilderness Campground is only a block away from the bike trail, located on a bluff, high above Glenwood Park, offering a beautiful view of the Baraboo River. There are 4 primitive sites with a fire pit and picnic table for each. It features a bathhouse with showers & restrooms, volleyball courts, a baseball diamond and a playground. Enjoy fishing in the nearby Baraboo River.
